On our tour of Great Britain we stayed two nights in Bath, a mid-sized city in England that I liked a lot but that seemed a bit unkempt compared to some of the other places we visited. The city has a lot to offer, but for me its two biggest attractions were its Roman Baths and the Bath Abbey, each of which I will cover in separate posts.
I just liked the pattern of the shadows in the above shot.
Part of the original city wall built by the Romans.
I kept the above photo because it illustrated the practice of using fireplaces in many or all of the rooms and apparently venting each through a separate chimney.
Two of Bath's notable architectural features are the Crescent and the Circus, residential developments that had been, and perhaps still are, highly fashionable.
The following was one of my favorite photos, a shot of a passageway near the Roman Baths area of town.
John.
