Leaving Scotland, our tour group traveled to the Lake District of northwestern England, known for its natural beauty and for being the home of noted writers, including Samual Taylor Coleridge, William Wordsworth, and Beatrix Potter.
The weather and light were not ideal, and frankly I don't have the ability or the patience for landscape photography, but here is some of what I got.
On our way to our next lodging, we visited Dove Cottage, an early 17th century inn that was converted to a home, where Wordsworth lived for eight years.
