The Bath Abbey was one of my very favorite religious venues that we visited on our tour of Great Britain. I think the primary reasons were the the quality of light and the astounding ceiling designs that the cathedral provided. Here are a few of the photos that I took.
The ceilings featured two different but related designs, one over the nave and one over the apse. I thought they were both exquisite.
The stained glass was outstanding as well.
The tomb of James Montagu, Bishop of Bath, who restored the Abbey in the early 17th century.
