OLD PIMA COUNTY COURTHOUSE

The historical Pima County courthouse was built in 1929.  It has since been replaced, and for a time it was subdivided into commercial spaces.  More recently it has been vacated so that it can undergo restoration and serve as a museum.  It has a mixture of architectural styles.  It includes Southwestern elements in its stucco sheathing colored in a pastel pink.  But it also includes a small dome that is covered in a relatively ornate tile design.  Here is a shot of the front facade.

And another shot of the dome posed next to a more contemporary office building.

I visited the building twice, and on one trip I had an opportunity to explore the building's exterior corridors and courtyard and took the following shots.

My favorite of the shots was the following of the pavilion space under the dome.

I thought the morning sun streaming through the entrance and the individual walking through helped this shot.
