PATTERNS IN MUD AND STRINGS

Today was basically the first sunny morning in about a week, and I decided to go to Doctors Park on Lake Michigan to see if there was anything worth getting some shots of.  Because spring is so late this year, it was too early for wildflowers.  However, down at the beach the morning waves were creating some interesting patterns in the sand.  In keeping with my preference for selecting natural objects as quasi-abstractions, following are some of the shots that I took:

The following B&W photo is of netting and string we have used to tie our clematis plant to one of the posts off our deck.  OK, so while it is a "man-made" rather than a "natural" object, at least the patterns weren't staged for purposes of the shot: I shot it as I found it.
